Basil Martini
Never heard of one, but I must say it was delicious. I was intrigued when someone else ordered it and within ten minutes decided I had to try it. Basil? Love it. In a martini? Gotta try it. The bartender wouldn’t disclose the secret recipe but I saw him muddle the basil leaves with about a teaspoon of sugar, water and then some secret squirt of something or other and lots of vodka. ...

My favorite thing about tumblr.—the electronic scrapbook I have at the end of these past seven months of favorite quotes, garden photos, wonderful food I ate, things I saw and did, stuff I love and all the memories I have that go with each and every post. All that and it’s green, minimalist, inexpensive and enjoyable to boot!

One of my favorite summer indulgences—heirloom tomatoes (room temp, don’t refrigerate) cut and served with olive oil, salt and pepper or Tajin Classico.
